Blistering Winds Waterfalls of Certain Doom

The Falls of Certain Doom – quite the name, isn’t it? The falls get their name due to the severity and many lives lost over their crashing peaks. The name is in place to remind Blistering Winds cats of the dangers, because despite these cats great leaping abilities and strong legs, even they are no match for the power of waterfalls and the churning waters below them. The falls originate from the fall-fed stream that begins in the mountains and slowly gains momentum and power as it tumbles through the valley towards the ocean, pooling before spilling into the falls to the ocean. Many cats used to jump across the top of the falls, but as time has gone on, the falls have grown in both power and size, making the jumps less and less feasible. Whether cocky or dared, cats still tried to jump the falls and would slip into the water and crash to their deaths in the ocean below – and at what price? Healers have cursed the falls for generations and caution cats against bringing apprentices here. Little prey can be found, salmon being the most populous, so little is to be gained by visiting the falls. It’s a pretty sight, but should strike fear and be a reminder of nature’s raw power more than anything. If you do visit the falls, it’s best to stay on the shore and fish from the pool rather than tip-toe up by the falls.
